Xanga is so under-appreciated

Since I left it, I have not found another place to spill my sarcastic ranting and embellish my writing abilities. Or lack thereof. More leaning on the latter...

But seriously, Xanga, I've missed you. I promise to frequent you a little more often. Even if no one reads you, I still got your back.

bam it's an update

check it...i'm updating. go figure.

I've devised a little poem about my summer experiences, so uh, here goes...(please keep in mind i'm making this up as I go along)

With summertime nearly over,
I reflect upon my times thus far.
It's been a whirlwind of---

Ok, nevermind. I'm not a poet. Maybe being an English Ed major will help me with that a bit. Summer's been fantastic, though. It's kind of gone by fast considering all I've done is work. Went on a couple vacations which were nice. (cue the photo montage)

Me and Mom at the Dixie Stampede!

My favorite Taylor-ite, Karmen, and I in the Wood

I consider the Wal-Mart lawn and garden center a vacation, too

Now, I leave you with a quote:
"Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability" - Sam Keen

"Sayonara"

I cannot believe it's all over. Goodbye high school. Hello college.

Goodbye study hall. Hello study groups.
Goodbye lockers. Hello dorm rooms.
Goodbye plate lunches. Hello Ramen Noodles.
Goodbye weekly paychecks. Hello empty wallet.
Goodbye book reports. Hello 10-page term papers.
Goodbye prom. Hello swing dancing.
Goodbye detention. Hello lectures.
Goodbye bedtime. Hello all-nighters.
Goodbye cliques. Hello lifelong friends.
Goodbye parents. Hello independence...

Yikes. Lord, help me.

Free At Last

Last week for Seniors.....(sniff sniff)

HA forget tears!! I'm outta here

I still love you all with all my heart. Enjoy high school while it lasts, but look forward to college. You've heard it your whole life and it's still true, God has so much more planned for you. Embrace your present and prepare for your future. It's gonna be one heck of a ride
